VPN Setup
WHY USE A VPN?
Since we will be managing my client's accounts from different locations all over the world, LinkedIn and/or Hubspot may see this as suspicious activity. To prevent anyone's accounts getting flagged, we need to make sure our IP addresses are set to the same location. Unless otherwise stated, we will be using Los Angeles, California as our location. Here is how:
- Go to https://signup.ipvanish.com/?aff=CYBERDEAL19&pp=1
- Choose the Monthly Option
- Create your own account by entering our email address and creating a password
- Enter your preferred payment method
- *You will be reimbursed for this expense
- Create the account
- Keep your eye out for an email from IPVanish
- Make sure to check spam if you don't see it
- Click the button within the email to Verify Email
- On the confirmation page, scroll down to where it says Download IPVanish Software
- Download the correct version for your device
Open the file to complete installation
Complete the installation steps
Now that it's downloaded and installed, you can use IPVanish to change your IP address!
Open the software and login.
Go to Settings from left-hand menu.

- Select Start IPVanish when Windows starts.
- Select Connect to last connected server
- Select Hide to Tray
Now go to Server List from left-hand menu
Set country to United States
Start typing "los angeles" into search bar
The location will show up underneath, double click it.
- IPVanish should now be connected to Los Angeles.
- If you need to disconnect, click DISCONNECT.
- Make sure you are connected to Los Angeles through IPVanish anytime you open Paperspace to work in my client's accounts.
- VPN and IP address setup is now
