2. Loom Recording Workflow

Loom Recording Workflow

This will show you how to set up and record Looms. Check out video walkthrough:

What you'll need:

  • Access to the client's Loom account
  • The client's cold email list.

Instructions:

  1. Go to loom.com and download the desktop version of Loom
  2. Use the login provided to access the Loom account that will be used for recording
  3. Open Loom and configure recordings with the following settings:
    1. Turn off your microphone (select ‘none’) and leave your camera on
    2. Go to preferences and turn ‘use system audio’ on
    3. Hover over your camera (bottom left) and click the head and shoulders button to activate your picture instead of your face

Open the provided audio file in the background (so it is behind your main chrome window), and set up so that you can control the audio and play it using your media keys on your keyboard.

  1. Open prospect website & open desktop Loom (make sure all settings are properly configured as per the above)
  2. Click ‘record’ and when it says ‘your microphone is muted’ just select ‘Yes, proceed’
  3. Wait for the countdown, you’ll hear a little ‘beep’ when the recording starts
  4. Press play from your keyboard so that the audio clip starts playing
  5. Immediately use the ‘Draw Shortcut’ (found on the left hand column of the Loom settings while recording) to draw a circle around their logo or their name, or an arrow etc. (instructions and modifications can be made/found in ‘Preferences’ -> ‘Shortcuts’
  6. Delete the drawing and scroll down the site and back up, this eliminates the suspicion the Loom may be pre-recorded
  7. Wait for the audio to finish playing, stop the recording, name the Loom and copy and paste the link into your CRM prospect spreadsheet
